Introducing our GP, Dr Chana Ilavalagan.
Dr Chana is a General Practitioner practicing Holistic Medicine. She believes in addressing the root causes of illness by empowering patients to achieve a better quality of life. Dr Chana’s considers the whole person -body, mind, spirit, and emotions – in the quest for optimal health and wellness. In this way, Dr Chana addresses physical, emotional, or spiritual imbalances, which can negatively affect the patient’s overall health.
Dr Chana’s passion for holistic health has been complimented by her interest in yoga, meditation, Ayurveda and other holistic therapies. She combines these modalities with conventional medicine for better outcomes.
Dr Chana is a graduate of the Universities of St Andrews and Manchester in the UK, and she qualified as a specialist in General Practice in 2012. Her GP training was in London and she has experience in all areas of General Practice with particular interests in Paediatrics and Palliative Medicine. Dr Chana has done mindfulness training and is a member of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and Australasian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine.
